Angela Habeck
Co-director Yopp, Lead Creative Learning Studio Facilitator, Preschool-age Specialist.
Angela is a mother of two teens who inspire her and who often work and volunteer with Yopp. She loves hanging out with her family, relaxing in her hammock, and going to the beach.
Qualifications:
A.A. and further studies in Elementary Education
VPK and Director’s Credentials through the Department of Children and Families.
Experience:
Teaching, leading, and directing preschool and school-age programming for the last 13 years.
Heddy Vernon
Co-director Yopp, Drama/Theater Specialist, Creative Learning Studio Substitute, Do Art facilitator
Mom to two amazing daughters. Loves reading, nature, theater, cats and Outlander.
Qualifications:
BS in Telecommunication Production from UF with a minor in Theater.
Experience:
Project manager of the development of a LMS (learning management system).
Managed video production for online classes at UF.
Director for Hairspray Jr., A Chorus Line Jr., RENT Jr. for ages 10-18.
Local Girl Scout Troop Leader 2010-present
Bethany Hunter
Co-director Yopp, Music Specialist, Home Education Specialist, Creative Learning Studio Substitute
Beth loves making music, reading and talking about books, and is a lifelong homeschooling mom of 5 beautiful children. Her oldest two are currently dual enrollment students at SFC.
Qualifications:
BS Exercise and Sport Sciences/Fitness Wellness, UF.
Experience:
Director, Gainesville Homeschool Band and Chorus.
Facilitator, Gainesville Homeschool Book Club (Grades 1-5, 6-10).
Homeschool Educator (Grades K-12).
Summer Hartley
Educational Consultant
Summer is a lifelong Alachua County resident and lives in Gainesville with her husband and two children.
Qualifications:
She has a BS in Agriculture and a Masters of Education in Elementary Education, UF.
State of Florida K-6 and ESOL Currently pursuing Reading Endorsement (K-12) complete 10/2020.
Experience:
11 years, 3rd-6th grade, gifted instruction and intensive reading and math intervention.
Activity Time Director at the United Church of Gainesville for 8 years.
Isabel Vernon
Co- Creative Learning Studio Facilitator, Lead camp facilitator
Isabel has been an assistant camp facilitator for 6 years and lead camp facilitator for 1 year.
Isabel runs a reptile education program and loves animals of all kinds. She graduated as an arts honor student and enjoys sharing her love of art with her students.
Hailey Long
Do Art facilitator, Creative Learning Studio Substitute, Co-facilitator art camp
Hailey has been a childcare provider for 6 years and an art facilitator at Do Art for almost 2 years.
She runs a reptile education program and often rescues and rehabs reptiles and other animals. She is an avid book reader and loves broadway musicals.
